hardin Wind Project, NY
The Hardin Wind Farm is located in Hardin County, Ohio and involves the construction of a 300 MW wind farm. Located on farmland and leased from private landowners, less than 125-135 acres will be taken out of agriculture production. Construction is expected to begin in 2013 and the project is expected to be operational by the end of 2013.

Economic Benefits of the Hardin Wind Farm
• Hardin Wind Farm is expected to be a $300 million investment in the community through temporary construction jobs, purchase of construction materials and increase economic activity associated with spending on services such as housing, food, fuel and other items purchased locally.
• $1 million in yearly taxes to local governments and school districts.
• The operation and maintenance will require approximately 8 – 11 full-time employees. It will also support up to 20 part-time positions throughout the region.
• Another $2 million will be added annually to the local economy through the purchase of local goods and services for operation and maintenance and payments to landowners.
