Coyote Crest Wind Energy Park is located north of Doty, Washington on lands zoned commercially for commercial forestry. It is locates on 3,755 acres within the Weyerhauser’s McDonald Tree Farm located in Lewis, Pacific and Grays Harbor Counties, Washington. The project is fully permitted and construction will begin once a viable sales solution for the project is secured. Once constructed, the project will consist of 47 wind turbines resulting in a capacity to generate 120MW of clean, renewable energy.
Economic Benefits of the Coyote Crest Wind Energy Park
• The project is expected to be an approximately $230 million investment over the life of the project.
• It is expected to generate approximately $10.6 million in local revenue during construction.
• Once operational, the wind farm will require ten full-time, permanent operation and maintenance positions.
• Coyote Crest Wind Energy Park will also provide over $2 million annually in payments to the local governments, fire district, counties and school districts.
