The Buckeye II Wind Farm is located in Champaign County, Ohio. It involves the construction of 91-171 MW wind farm located across 13,500 acres of land in Champaign County of which less than five percent taken out of agriculture production. The project is expected to generate enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of 40,000 households.

Economic Benefits of the Buckeye II Wind Project
• The Buckeye II Wind Farm will make approximately $20 million is payments to Ohio, local townships and local school districts over its lifetime.
• Construction will require local labor. The project will also utilize approximately $2 million in locally sourced construction materials and services. It is expected to have a $55 million economic impact on the region.
• Buckeye II operation and maintenance will require eight to ten full-time employees and require approximately $1 million annually in local goods and services.
Environmental Benefits of the Buckeye II Wind Project
The project will offset:
• CO2 emissions up to 600 million pounds per year
• SO2 emissions approximately 4.3 million pounds per year
• NOx emissions up to 1.2 million pounds per year
• Project will not consume water to produce electricity
