Jim Spencer - Managing Director
Mr. Spencer serves as Everpower Wind’s Managing Director. He has over twenty years experience in the power industry managing the development and financing of energy projects in developed and underdeveloped countries.

Mr. Spencer founded Everpower Renewables in 2002 to pursue renewable energy development. Mr. Spencer has spent his career founding and managing companies that pursue the development of energy projects-both conventional and renewable. Mr. Spencer also served as an advisor to Renewable Energy Systems Limited (“RES”) and established RES’s Asia Pacific presence in NSW Australia. He also served as a Director of RES Asia Pacific from its inception until 2004 when he resigned in order to devote 100% of his efforts to Everpower Wind.

Mr. Spencer spent ten years at Sithe Energies, including as President of Sithe Asia Holdings Limited, and was responsible for the business development and project finance activities of Sithe throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Spencer successfully implemented Sithe’s business model in Asia helping it gain the reputation as one of the most successful energy developers and financiers in the Region. Among the milestones achieved by Mr. Spencer are the 600 megawatt Wenzhou and Puqi Plants in Zhejiang and Hebei Provinces in China. These projects, among others, were purchased by China Energy Resources and formed the cornerstone of that company’s successful IPO in 2003. Among other successful developments overseen by Mr. Spencer are the $1.2 billion, 340 MW San Roque Hydroelectric project in the Philippines. San Roque, which was constructed under Mr. Spencer’s oversight, is the largest water management and hydroelectric project ever implemented in Asia with the exception of the Three Gorges Projects in China. In 1990, as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Sithe, Mr. Spencer had primary responsibility for the public financing of the $773 million, 1,000 MW Independence project in New York. The first construction project of its type to be financed with public bonds, Independence would signal a sea change in the way that independent power projects would be financed.

Mr. Spencer began his career in 1985 as an attorney in the energy project finance group at Chadbourne & Parke LLP. In 1989, he was recruited to Prudential Capital Corporation where he served as Vice President Corporate Finance in the Utilities & Energy Group. Mr. Spencer has been involved in energy related financings representing more than $6 billion.

Mr. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University and studied at the University of Toronto. He received a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Andrew Golembeski - Vice President
Mr. Golembeski has spent more than 15 years in the power industry in both traditional and renewable energy companies. Mr. Golembeski serves as Everpower Wind’s chief technical officer and oversees the implementation of the engineering and electrical disciplines to its projects. Mr. Golembeski’s power experience encompasses wind, hydroelectric, combustion turbine combined cycle, reciprocating engines, solar and coal. He has designed power plants, managed the permitting process, procured equipment and negotiated virtually every type of project contract.

Mr. Golembeski assumes overall responsibility for project development at Everpower. His other renewable energy experience includes management of a solar manufacturing facility and as Asset Manager of hydroelectric facilities.

From 1991-2002, Mr. Golembeski was employed at Sithe Energies, Inc., one of the largest independent power producers in the United States. Mr. Golembeski served in the New York, Beijing and London offices while at Sithe and developed power projects in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Mr. Golembeski is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from NYU and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from New York Maritime College and is a licensed Merchant Marine Engineer.
Kevin Sheen - Director of Public Relations and Outreach
Mr. Sheen started his sales and marketing career outside of the energy industry and his marketing expertise spans direct mail, statement insert, and online marketing campaigns. In addition, he established and managed a northeast sales and marketing office reaching over $27M in sales in the first year.

Mr. Sheen’s experience in the renewable energy includes serving as Director of Marketing for a solar module manufacturer and project developer. In this capacity Mr. Sheen managed commercial installation projects and developed relationships with manufacturers and installers throughout the northeast. Since joining Everpower, Mr. Sheen has focused on commercial project development, supplier relations, and market development.

Mr. Sheen currently directs the Everpower’s outreach, public relations and landowner negotiations and coordinates the company’s marketing efforts.

Mr. Sheen holds a BA from Indiana University and a Masters Degree from The Ohio State University.
Michael Speerschneider - Project Management and Policy
Mr. Speerschneider has a background in technology and policy focusing on a variety of energy and environmental issues. He began his career in the energy sector at the Cambridge Energy Research Associates. During his time at CERA, he developed modeling tools used for analysis of natural gas markets while working on project teams that produced relevant and timely market research.

Mr. Speerschneider’s experience in renewable energy also includes work at the Center for Photovoltaics at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In addition, he has performed research directed at overcoming the barriers to implementation faced by the solar, wind, hydrogen, and nuclear energy sectors.

Prior to joining the EPR team, Mr. Speerschneider was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he completed an advanced degree in Technology and Policy. The focus of his studies was the development and implementation of renewable energy technologies in the context of political and social environments.

Mr. Speerschneider holds BA and BS degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and two Masters of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
