Everpower Renewables Corporation is committed to the use, promotion and growth of clean and efficient renewable energy. In keeping with this principle, Everpower recognizes that being a member of the renewable energy industry requires that responsible energy practices be embedded in its business activities and the individuals that conduct them. As you know, recent restructuring of power markets throughout the Northeastern United States provided residential and business consumers the opportunity to choose the electricity supplier that best fits their values and needs. Many energy suppliers now offer a “Green Power” option that allows the consumer to purchase power generated by renewable energy sources. Alternatively, consumers have the option to buy “Green Certificates” if Green Power is not a viable option. Essentially, Green Certificates can be used in situations when Green Power is not available through the local utility. Green Certificates fund the production of and signals a consumer’s support of Green Power. In such instances, the purchaser of the Green Certificate is simply buying Green Power from another source. Everpower and its affiliates, in demonstration of its dedication, strives to purchase Green Power, or if not available, Green Certificates in accordance with the following guidelines: • Everpower’s New York headquarters are powered by Green Certificates. Everpower has bought enough Green Certificates to fully offset its annual electricity consumption. This policy will extend to all company offices • All of Everpower’s employees utilize the Green Power option if offered by their service provider or will purchase Green Certificates to offset residential consumption • Everpower’s development activities require the services of advisors and consultants. Everpower aims to use only consultants and other service providers that purchase Green Power or Green Certificates. Responsible development of renewable energy is essential to the continued successful deployment of technologies that will make the world a cleaner and safer place. Everpower works to deploy renewable energy technologies and strives to support the corporate and personal responsibility needed to foster the growth of the renewable energy industry.
